Zayats: Belarus’ agricultural exports totalled about $5bn
Belarus’ Deputy Prime Minister Leonid Zayats took part in the opening of the updated dairy complex at the Slobodskoye agricultural enterprise named after V.I. Lenin. Speaking about the development of the material and technical base of the agro-industrial complex, he underlined that more than 170 similar facilities are being built in our country.
“Moreover, poultry farms are being built, and new pig-breeding complexes are being opened. By late 2030, it is planned to build 14 pig-breeding complexes and fully provide ourselves with domestically produced pork. Huge sums of money are invested in the development of the agricultural complex in such a way that the current generation and those afterwards can use this base to feed people and trade with foreign countries,” noted Belarus’ Deputy PM.
Belarus has a lot to be proud of, and today the country provides itself with its own food products.
“We don’t purchase from abroad, we produce in our fields and on our farms. We successfully expert the surplus. Based on the results of work over nine months, exports made up about $5bn – more compared to the same period last year – and I’m convinced that this is not the limit. Behind these figures lies the colossal work of our farmers, workers of livestock complexes and farms, machine operators, government agencies, and specialists,” underlined Leonid Zayats.
