World Aquatics lifts ban on Belarusian, Russian relay swimmers
World Aquatics (the International Swimming Federation) lifted the ban on Belarusian and Russian swimmers competing in relays, the federation’s press service announced
Belarusian and Russian athletes under the neutral flag can now compete in swimming, open water swimming, synchronised swimming, and springboard diving events in all disciplines, including relays, provided that they meet the admission criteria.
In September 2023, World Aquatics already allowed participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes in international competitions in individual disciplines.
