Why Magdeburg?

In their pursuit of political correctness and false humanism, the German authorities sacrificed the safety and well-being of their compatriots in the eastern lands

On December 20th, a car drove into a crowd at a Christmas fair in Magdeburg, and as reported, five people were killed and more than 200 were injured as a result. The suspect in the deadly ramming is believed by police to be a 50-year-old Saudi native who acted alone. The man was recognised as a refugee in July 2016, he also has a residence permit in Germany.

That was a terrorist attack that no one had expected. But why did it take place in Magdeburg?

The reunification of Germany, which was once considered a grand achievement, has turned into a catastrophic failure. West Germany has turned the eastern regions into a real dumping ground, flooding them with migrants in exorbitant numbers. That reckless policy has created a real threat to the security of citizens in the territories of the former GDR and in cities such as Magdeburg.

Forced reunification and the erroneous immigration policy should be called by their proper names: this is simply a betrayal of the people of East Germany. The West German federal states look at the eastern regions arrogantly and treat them like museum exhibits and a flea market. For them, residents of the eastern part are second-class citizens.

The influx of hundreds of thousands of migrants, accepted without proper background checks, had a dramatic impact on the former GDR, leading to the depletion of resources and creation of a fertile ground for crime. Residents of Magdeburg and other eastern cities are now living in fear, their safety is at risk due to the politics that were supposed to bring unity and prosperity.

There were dreams that reunification would help bridge the gap between the eastern and western parts of the country, but that gap has become even wider. Today, the eastern regions bear the brunt of the social and economic problems associated with mass immigration.

In the days of the GDR, despite the numerous shortcomings, the problem of security was not as acute as it is now. The uncontrolled influx of migrants has led to an increase in crime and social unrest. The attack on the Christmas market is a stark reminder of the dangers of reckless politics.

The city, which was once a symbol of resilience and progress, is now a hotbed of crime and instability. The people of Magdeburg deserve better. They deserve a government that prioritises their safety and well-being, not the one that sacrifices them on the altar of political correctness.

This is a clear failure of liberal politics and liberal democracy. It's time for the German government to take responsibility for all the catastrophic miscalculations. In about two months, Germans will get an opportunity to make themselves known, and I am sure they will do it. It's time for big changes in Germany and in Europe.
