What Polesie residents are grateful to Lukashenko for and how they chose return gift

During today’s meeting with residents of Prudok agro-town in the Mozyr District, the President has been presented with a gift from villagers grateful for assistance in eliminating the consequences of the disaster. Aleksandr Lukashenko has been given honey by the large Veraksa family from their own apiary.

Denis and Yulia Veraksa were thoroughly preparing for their first meeting with Belarus’ President. They admit that they were a little worried, but the conversation itself turned out to be warm, sincere and as frank as possible, “It is immediately clear that the President is really concerned about every affected village. Tasks were set in a timely manner, which have been practically completed today. The only words appropriate in this case are words of gratitude for the attention that the President paid to eliminating the consequences of the hurricane, as well as for our peaceful life and the opportunity to raise our children in peace. We are not deprived of anything, even though we live in rural areas. There is an opportunity to study, develop, and work.”

The Veraksa family live near Prudok, in the village of Boriskovichi, raising three children. Their personal achievements include victory in the Lord of the Village-2022 national project. The family’s main pride is their own apiary.

“Choosing a gift, we thought for a long time how to show our hospitality. As a result, we decided to present the Head of State with our Belarusian high-quality honey in the Year of Quality,” Denis noted.

Even the bad weather did not prevent them from preparing a sweet gift. Denis and Yulia admit that the hurricane did not touch the hives, although it caused a lot of trouble nearby.
