Volfovich: Belarus plans no mobilisation and no entry into military hostilities
In today's conditions, Belarus’ power bloc is able to ensure the safety of the country and its citizens – as stated by the State Secretary of the Security Council, Aleksandr Volfovich, at a meeting with the Gefest-Technika employees in Brest
Following the President’s instructions, meetings of labour collectives with the leadership of Belarus’ power and economic blocs are taking place countrywide these days. Gefest-Technika and Savushkin Produkt companies have hosted such meetings today.
Mr. Volfovich described the situation around Belarus as difficult and tense.
“The West is accusing Belarus, trying to draw it into a military conflict. It is attempting to militarise itself by conducting a huge number of exercises. There should be no panic in our country. Everyone should do what they need: you should work for the benefit of the economy, and the military — to ensure the security of our country. Then everything will be fine with us. The structures that exist to protect the state are fulfilling their tasks. No mobilisation or entry of our country into military operations is planned. We do not need it. At the same time, we will protect our country, if necessary. If some madmen cross our borders, we will mobilise ourselves and stand up for our country. In today's conditions, the country's power unit is able to ensure the safety of our citizens, including you. This should be appreciated,” the State Secretary of the Security Council addressed those present.
