Venezuela condemned ILO resolution on Belarus: this is purely political decision

The Venezuelan government condemns and does not support the International Labour Organisation (ILO) resolution on Belarus – as stated by Rosalía Zingales, representative of the country, during a meeting on the consideration of the Belarusian issue at the 111th session of the International Labour Conference in Geneva

“This is a purely political decision, taken instead of continuing the social dialogue. The effect of this decision is beyond the ILO mandate. The application of the article will lead to consequences that will be presented on the same scale as unilateral coercive measures that are contrary to the UN Charter. We condemn and do not support these measures.”
