Uzbekistan signed $12bn worth agreements with Saudi Arabia
Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia have signed several agreements on the implementation of mutually beneficial projects worth $12bn, TASS reports
According to the press service of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with a delegation of Saudi Arabia headed by the Minister of Investment of the Kingdom, Khalid Al-Falih, and discussed the development of multifaceted co-operation.
It is reported that agreements have been signed between the countries on the implementation of mutually beneficial projects in the field of chemistry, energy, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, IT and infrastructure development in the amount of $12bn. The parties also discussed the importance of accelerating the implementation of major energy projects in various regions of the country. In addition, Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia have agreed to implement new projects and programmes totalling $11bn in various fields.
