Volfovich: military will do everything possible to ensure peace in Belarus
The geopolitical situation in the world, the situation on Belarus’ borders, the election campaign, military service — these and other issues have been raised during today’s meeting of State Secretary of the Security Council Aleksandr Volfovich with the Savushkin Product labour team
Aleksandr Volfovich has repeatedly stressed that Belarus is a country that wants to live in peace with everyone, “It’s difficult to build a multipolar world, because the US and Western countries do not want to cede the palm of primacy. They have destroyed the entire security architecture, unfortunately. There are no counterweights to keep the world from starting WWIII. People are concerned about that. People in Belarus are used to living in safety and peace. Serious conclusions have been drawn since 2020. They wanted to push our country into the abyss, to create a situation like in Ukraine, which is very favourable to the West. However, the President is holding our country together. Belarus is a peaceful country that seeks to exist in good-neighbourly relations with all countries, including Poland, the Baltic States and others. This is what Belarus’ policy is aimed at. But the West does not want it. Our people are ready to continue making our country prosperous, and we, the military, are asked to ensure peace. And we, the military, led by the Commander-in-Chief, will do our best to ensure that our people continue to live and work in a peaceful country.”
