US Secretary of the Air Force: American authorities should prepare for possible war with China

The Hill reported that the US Secretary of the Air Force, Frank Kendall, called on the White House to strengthen preparations for a possible military clash with China, TASS reports

“Our task is to contain this war and be ready to win if it happens. We are all talking about the need to reform the Aerospace Forces, otherwise we may not prevent and may even lose the war,” Mr. Kendall said.

He also called on the United States to prepare for a type of war in which the country has no experience. According to Mr. Kendall, a war can begin if the US military potential is insufficient to deter Chinese aggression against Taiwan.

In 1979, the United States severed diplomatic relations with Taiwan and established them with China. Recognising the ‘one China’ policy, Washington at the same time continues to maintain contacts with the Taipei administration and supplies weapons to the island.
