UNICEF Representative in Belarus presented copies of credentials to Deputy Foreign Minister Ambrazevich
Rustam Khaidarov, the Representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Belarus, presented copies of his credentials to Belarus’ Deputy Foreign Minister Yuri Ambrazevich – as reported in the Belarusian Foreign Ministry’s press service
As noted in the Foreign Ministry, the parties discussed the state and prospects for the development of co-operation between Belarus and UNICEF. “Yuri Ambrazevich underlined special attention of the Government of Belarus to interaction with UNICEF in order to use the organisation’s potential to further improve the Belarusian model of child and motherhood protection,” the Foreign Ministry said.
Moreover, the Deputy Foreign Minister called on Rustam Khaidarov to promote the best Belarusian experience in inclusive education and social protection of motherhood at the regional and international levels.
In turn, the UNICEF Representative expressed his gratitude for the credit of trust given to the UN Children’s Fund in Belarus. Rustam Khaidarov assured Yuri Ambrazevich of maintaining a practice-oriented approach in the work of the organisation with national partners.
Earlier, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Belarus to the UN Office and other international organisations in Geneva, Larysa Belskaya, at the 73rd session of the Executive Committee of the UN High Commissioner’s Programme for Refugees (UNHCR) noted that our country intends to continue constructive liaisons with the UNHCR and other UN agencies and international organisations in Belarus, including UNICEF.
