"I know that I worked with a man from Ukraine’s Security Service. He trained me at different sites: at airfields, in the woods, and with different drones. Quite a lot of time has passed. They told me then to get ready to head out in the near future, within a week,” the terrorist said.
As reported, the State Security Committee (KGB), in co-operation with the Interior Ministry, the State Border Committee and other law enforcement agencies, has conducted a large-scale special operation, as a result of which a citizen of Ukraine, Nikolai Vladimirovich Shvets, born in 1993, was detained at a safe house; the man had attempted to commit an act of terrorism at the Belarusian military facility – the Machulishchi airfield in the Minsk District on February 26th, 2023. As a result of the KGB counterintelligence activities, the direct involvement of the operational staff and the leadership of the Security Service of Ukraine in the organisation of the terrorist attack was established. The system of recruitment by Ukraine’s special services of its own citizens to commit acts of terrorism on the territory of foreign states has been revealed, and the cover organisations used for these persons’ training have been established. In addition, the tactics of using explosives, the mechanisms of communication and management of the spy network have been studied, and the channels for the agent’s evacuation have been disclosed and eliminated.
The detained agent is now actively sharing information about his curators after the failure of the Ukrainian Security Service sabotage in Machulishchi. "He calls me and says that the plans are changing. In short, we need to leave, I will tell you everything. The next day we meet at his place, and he already has everything – including money and what he has to give [me]. He says the long-range radar detection aircraft located in Belarus is our goal. Before that, almost all the media reported that all the alerts had been because of that,” the Ukrainian clarified.
