Belarusian exposition on show at Food Africa Cairo 2024

Belarus. The Taste of Nature exposition organised by the Belinterexpo unitary enterprise of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is presented at Egypt's largest international specialised exhibition, Food Africa Cairo 2024

The International Trade Fair for Food and Beverages, Food Africa Cairo 2024, has brought together about 1,000 exhibitors from more than 30 countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, China, Russia, Turkiye, Italy, Greece, France, Spain, Switzerland, Japan, and others.

Over the years, the exhibition has deservedly received the status of a well-known brand, acting as an effective business platform for representatives of Egypt, the Middle East, North Africa, and world-class foreign partners.

“Egypt is a major regional player interested in buying Belarusian goods and services. Thanks to co-operation with African countries and interaction with key industry companies within the framework of Food Africa Cairo, domestic enterprises have unique opportunities to promote business interests and expand their trade and economic geography," Belinterexpo Director Natalia Kurash said. The opening ceremony of the Belarusian exposition was held with the participation of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Sergei Terentiev. Among the first guests were also Secretary-General of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce Alaa Ezz and Chairman of IFP Group Albert Aoun.

On the first day of work, the heads of state bodies and departments of Egypt visited Belarus’ exposition. Negotiations and meetings with the Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, the Minister of Supply and Internal Trade of Egypt were held.

A number of agreements were signed by the Lida Dairy and Canning Plant and Minsk Dairy Plant No. 1 – the managing company of the First Dairy Holding. For example, First Dairy signed a contract with a large Egyptian company for the supply of $1m of skimmed milk powder and whole milk powder to the markets of Egypt, Kuwait, and Yemen.

The Belarus. The Taste of Nature exposition unites a number of well-known enterprises of the Grodnomyasomolprom Holding and flagships of the Belarusian food industry. It should be noted that participation in international exhibitions is one of the most effective tools for promoting domestic goods to foreign markets.

Food Africa Cairo 2024 is running from December 3rd to December 5th.
