BELAZ presented new electric-powered quarry dump trucks
New BELAZ quarry dump trucks from flagship 130 and 240 tonnes lines were presented at the testing ground, informed the company’s press centre. The new trucks feature electric engines and generators sourced from a new provider.
“Our new trucks, BELAZ-7513T (130 tonnes) and BELAZ-7531V (240 tonnes), feature new traction generators and alternate current drives from a new provider, along with own-developed control cabinets. We presented them on December 4th at our testing ground,” said the corporate media representative, adding that about 30 engineering experts and top distribution managers from Russia, CIS and other foreign countries attended the tests.
The visitors had a chance to witness how BELAZ’ flagship quarry dump trucks with new power units operate when moving at grade limits under full load or on empty. The own-developed smart monitoring and IMS predictive analytics systems installed in the trucks make it possible to track their traction and speed parameters in real time.
“BELAZ-7513T and BELAZ-7531V trucks with alternate current electric drives and improved speed and traction parameters will find their best use in ore mining, including on long slopes,” added the press service.
At a work meeting with manufacturer representatives that followed the presentation testing participants discussed topical issues of the new vehicles’ operation, parts supplies, and service staff training.
“Issues of BELAZ’ products quality and reliability have always been a priority for us. Rounding up the Belarusian Year of Quality (2024), we now present two new trucks in our flagship product lines. By expanding our product range, we make our clients able to get trucks when they are needed. By offering alternative components for their unique purposes and capabilities, we set up conditions where our quarry trucks operate in the most productive way possible,” said BELAZ Director General Sergei Lesin.
