Ukrainian MP: AFU failed monthly mobilisation plan
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) has been falling short of their monthly mobilisation plans since September. As noted by Ukrainian Rada MP Solomiia Bobrovska, the plan for the entire 2024 is also going to fail, TASS reports.
In a video published on her Telegram channel, Govorit Veliky Lviv (Great Lviv Speaks), Ms. Bobrovska said, “Our mobilisation effort has been flagging since September. [Numbers] started to go down in August. […] Unfortunately, [mobilisation results] went down in autumn. Until December, truth be told, we are not going to meet the targets set by the General Staff, not for the year and not for each month. It’s difficult, and, unfortunately, we’re going back to how things were in the spring of 2024 [before tightening the mobilisation law]."
The MP added that AFU Commander-in-Chief Syrsky’s recent decision to transfer specialised troops to infantry was brought about by frontline losses and listless mobilisation results.
“The reasons for Commander-in-Chief Syrsky's order to transfer troops were losses in frontline brigades and reduced mobilisation numbers,” she said.
