Two athletes to represent Belarus at World Judo Championship

Two Belarusian athletes will perform at the World Judo Championship in Doha, Qatar: Yegor Voropayev will be competing in the weight category up to 90kg among men while Darya Kontsevaya will be performing in the weight category up to 78kg among women; both trained by team’s senior coach Aleksandr Kotlovsky – as reported by the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Belarus in its Telegram channel

Only athletes with the highest rating of the International Judo Federation got to the World Cup. Belarusian judokas have not competed in rating tournaments for more than a year, so their positions have deteriorated significantly.

The 36th World Judo Championship will be held in Qatar from May 7th-14th.
