Talai: rehabilitation centre for Donbass children to be set up near Borisov
The busy Belarusian holidays flew unnotived for youngsters from the Donetsk People's Republic, who now return to their native places . This time, thanks to the foundation of Paralympian Aleksei Talai, a team from Mariupol and Dokuchaevsk (Donetsk Region) – consisting of over 40 children – spent two weeks recovering and undergoing medical rehabilitation in the Brest Region.
"Children from the DPR gained impressions and strength – this is happiness," said public figure, Paralympic athlete, motivational speaker, and founder of the charitable foundation Aleksei Talai, "This is the second autumn group, and we really hope that there will be a third. We will try to organise the arrival of the children quickly and efficiently, so that another region of Belarus will host them. Perhaps it will be the Mogilev Region or the Grodno Region, where children are also welcome and are ready to provide the opportunity to get acquainted with all the sights, enjoy the kindness and love of the Belarusian people. I thank the Brest Region leadership: so sincerely, with full dedication and the kindest messages, they organised a holiday for over 40 children. The sending of humanitarian aid to children who primarily need help continues. And with the support of the President, we will continue these initiatives.”
Now preparations are underway for another large-scale project: the creation of a rehabilitation centre for Donbass children, which will be built near Borisov in a very iconic place: the Romanov estate.
Aleksei Talai explained, “The facility will be equipped with the most advanced technologies: global and domestically-produced. Children from Belarus will also undergo treatment there in order to meet Donbass children and overcome difficulties together. Now the centre is being put in order, we are holding negotiations with the main participants, but ordinary citizens will also be able to contribute to the project. Russian regions will also be actively involved. Everyone will be able to restore their part in the estate, hang their own sign there and thereby perpetuate their region, the republic in good deeds on the territory of Belarus and the Union State for many years to come. This project will take several years, bringing many people together. The estate is large, but additional buildings are also provided that will be needed for the rehabilitation and administration of this complex. Today we are preparing it, with specialists working on plans and a project.”
