‘Take care of what you have’ President addresses all Belarusians

Take care of yourself, your enterprise and your country. The President once again reminded of the main thing visiting the agricultural enterprise Zhuravlinoye in the Brest Region: what we have must be preserved. Aleksandr Lukashenko addressed such words to all compatriots while communicating with residents of Pruzhany District, “I am a man devoted to you. Not only to peasants.  You are good people, take care of yourself! But I believe that a person can succeed only if he or she takes good care of themselves and their children.”

Arriving in Pruzhany District, the Head of State drew attention to the use of mineral fertilisers, since in many respects this is the basis of harvest. This year, farmers expect to harvest about 11 million tonnes of grain, including more than 8 million tonnes of spiked cereals. Plus, there will be rapeseed and corn, Agriculture and Food Minister Igor Brylo reported to the President.
The yield, as noted, also depends on the use of glyphosates: herbicides, which are used to control weeds. It would be good to produce them in Belarus. The basis of the herbicide is Chinese.
At the Zhuravlinoye farm Aleksandr Lukashenko also got familiar with the rapeseed cultivation technology and available machinery. The Head of State recalled that now one of the most important tasks is to phase out imports. At the same time, the President noted that equipment manufacturers should provide warranty service for at least three years. In addition, the life of equipment should be at least 15 years.
The Head of State reminded that back in the day he initiated a countryside revival program. The establishment of major agricultural enterprises began then. The powerful agricultural complex Aleksandriyskoye was created in Mogilev Region while the agricultural complex Zhuravlinoye was established in Brest Region back then.
“Back then we decided that these enterprises should not be private farms. Private farmers were free to get things going on their own and enjoy state support. But we did not have to destroy state collective farms. Today we understand that we didn’t make an error back then when we created amalgamated agricultural enterprises,” noted Aleksandr Lukashenko.
The establishment of new enterprises required a lot of money and unconventional measures but it produced results.
“We launched these projects thanks to efforts of the entire Belarusian nation. Yes, it was difficult but our Belarusians persevered. Well done! Otherwise, we would have nothing to feed our nation with and nothing to export — we get $7 billion in hard currency,” stated
Aleksandr Lukashenko.
The President also noted the success of the Brest Region in the current harvesting campaign at a meeting with employees of the agricultural enterprise Zhuravlinoye and residents of Pruzhany District. Aleksandr Lukashenko said that Belarus will start bottling its own
COVID-19 vaccine in the immediate future, Belarusian.

“We bought more masks, protective equipment. We have enough of it. In the near future, we will start bottling our vaccine. But I will tell you once again: don’t worry too much about it. If you live a healthy life, you should not be afraid of diseases,” said the Belarusian leader.
The President also urged the Belarusians to appreciate and cherish everything that has been achieved in the country. The Head of State mentioned the developments in Ukraine. Belarus has become a safe haven for thousands of Ukrainians who are now receiving Belarusian citizenship.
“You should see how they work! And they are appreciative. Why? Because they have survived this ordeal, this war. And these people are our kin. We should not mistreat them. Don’t think that I’m planning some kind of attack, bombing Ukraine from the territory of Belarus and so on. I do not want your children and my children to be at war. In the name of what? It is not Ukraine that is fighting today. Russia is confronted by entire NATO and first of all America,” stressed Aleksandr Lukashenko.
In his opinion, Europe would have stopped this war long ago had the United States not continued to stimulate hostilities with the help of Poland.
“Therefore, take care of what you have. And don’t wait for someone to bring something to you on a silver platter. We have places where we can earn money. We have everything to live and work. You need to keep moving, be proactive. Remember that it is you who need this first of all. At the same time, the government is not going to abandon its commitment to support you,” said Aleksandr Lukashenko.
Residents of the district presented the President with a panel picture depicting cranes. Cranes have long chosen these places and have become a symbol of happiness, peace and kindness.
