Syrian new authorities aim to restore country’s status as major player in the region

The new authorities in Syria plan to return the country to the status of a significant player in the regional arena – as noted by Foreign Minister in the Syrian transitional government Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani, TASS reports

“Syria will regain its role in the regional and international arenas and will once again become a key player in the region,” al-Shaibani said, as quoted by Al Jazeera TV.
