Swiss expert on migrants: the West uses them as tool, as weapon

The West uses migrants as a tool, a weapon – as stated by founder of the Geneva Institute for Multipolarity (Switzerland) Guy Mettan in his talk with the STV TV channel

"Well, it is a tricky question, since illegal migrants are everywhere. They are also coming from the south, from the Mediterranean Sea area, and this is a global problem. Migrants are used as a tool, as a weapon. They are a weapon that the West uses to try to fight against Belarus and Russia," Guy Mettan stressed.

The founder of the Geneva Institute for Multipolarity considers the West's policy towards migrants contradictory: i.e. European countries say it is necessary to welcome migrants, because they are humans – and this is true.

"People have the right to come. You are called a populist, fascist, inhuman if you criticise migration in Europe,” the expert noted.

At the same time, the West considers it impossible for migrants to come to Poland from Belarus. Guy Mettan stressed that this is completely illogical. “This is a proof that migrants are being used as weapons against countries like Belarus or Russia," he added.
