State Duma deputy: US wants to drag Ukraine into endless war against Russia
Washington wants to ensure that the confrontation between Kiev and Moscow lasts indefinitely – as noted by a deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Deputy Chairman of the United Russia faction, Andrei Isayev, in his talk with Channel One
According to the deputy, the strategy chosen by the United States envisages that the country does not enter into direct conflict with Russia. “At the same time, the US is endlessly adding firewood into the conflict between Ukraine and Russia so that the fire does not stop burning. If it sees that things are really bad for Kiev, more weapons are sent. In turn, it sends nothing if sees that everything is more or less fine. The US task is to inspire Ukraine to continue the war against Russia endlessly,” he noted.
At the same time, Mr. Isayev stressed that such an endless war, according to the US logic, presupposes temporary truces. “Such a truce would be extremely necessary for the United States now. Firstly, there is an internal aggravation of the political situation in connection with the upcoming elections and deepening disagreements between Democrats and Republicans. Secondly, the country needs to reorient its arms flows in the near future, since it expects 2024 to be the year of a potential clash with China. Accordingly, it is necessary to arm Taiwan and new allies of the United States. Ukraine will receive less as a result,” he added.
