State Border Committee: corpse of a Nigerian found on border with Lithuania
A border patrol near the Belarusian-Lithuanian border found a refugee and a woman's body next to him, the State Border Committee reports in its Telegram channel
The Nigerian citizen said that he and his 22-year-old bride tried to get to Europe, but they were detained by Lithuanian security forces. The man explained that his fiancée was not feeling well and asked for help, but the Lithuanian military sprayed gas in the girl's face, and then forcibly threw them onto the Belarusian border.
After that, the young man asked for help from Belarusians. An ambulance team was immediately called to the scene, but – upon the arrival of doctors – the Nigerian citizen died.
According to the State Border Committee, since the beginning of 2023, that was the sixth death of a refugee due to the fault of the EU ‘democratic’ security forces. Similar cases were recorded on January 9th, 10th and 31st, as well as on February 4th and 10th.
