Sports Minister: Belarus created all conditions for sports at professional and amateur levels

As noted by Minister of Sports and Tourism Sergei Kovalchuk, physical culture and sports have always been one of the main directions of Belarus’ socio-economic development, sb.by reports with reference to the sports department

“All the necessary conditions have been created in our country for professional and amateur sportsmen. Time is testing the strength of our unity, and we – Belarusians – are purposefully moving forward, continuing to form a physically and spiritually healthy nation," Mr. Kovalchuk said, adding that 2024 is rich in sporting events: Belarusians will support the sportsmen of the country at BRICS Sports Games, Summer Olympics, World Friendship Games, and other major competitions.

"I am sure that their participation will add entertainment to sports battles. I would like to express my gratitude to all athletes, veterans of sports, and employees of the sports industry for their fruitful work, energy, and dedication to their work,” Mr. Kovalchuk said.
