Sports and Tourism Ministry: Belarus proven itself in health resorts and agroecotourism

In recent years, the percentage of domestic tourism, as well as inbound tourism from Russia, has increased significantly – as noted by Director of the Tourism Department at the Sports and Tourism Ministry Irina Voronovich

“Belarus is associated with health resorts and agroecotourism, these areas are developed at a high level,” said Irina Voronovich. “Meanwhile, we try to work in other directions, e.g., in summer 2022, a shopping tour was popular among Russians. This August, II CIS Games – a large sporting event – will be held in Minsk and eleven cities of the country. Anyway, we will not limit ourselves to sports competitions: other events are also organised, enabling tourists to look at Belarus from different angles.”
