Shved: in the current conditions, it’s more important than ever to ensure unity
On the eve of the Prosecutor’s Office Employees Day, a solemn ceremony with the participation of Belarus’ Prosecutor General Andrei Shved took place at the Mound of Glory. Congratulating the employees of the department, he noted that the main value of the Belarusian people is peace, which has been gained through suffering and is the main condition for the development of the country.
“The current year has been declared by the President as the Year of Peace and Creation. In the current conditions, it’s more important than ever to ensure the unity and mobilisation of all efforts to counter external and internal threats,” the Prosecutor General noted. “The fate of our country depends on us, and everyone should and can make a feasible contribution to its strengthening and prosperity, ensuring the well-being of our citizens. Today, as before, there can be no trifles, complacency and a formal attitude towards a human problem in our prosecutorial work.”
He also noted that Western countries have taken the path of destroying those who disagree, that’s why it’s now more important than ever for Belarus to ensure unity.
“The fire of war is raging at our borders, once flourishing cities are being destroyed, children, women, and the elderly are dying. All this is a consequence of the collective West’s frantic policy, which is ready to plunge the whole world into chaos for the sake of global domination. By imposing a pseudo-liberal order, destroying family values, ignoring international law, Western countries with their ideology of superiority – which has already become a virtual fascist ideology – have chosen the path of destroying anyone who disagrees with their position. We saw all this in 2020, when they tried to sow chaos and devastation in Belarus,” he stressed.
After the speech, Andrei Shved thanked the prosecutors of the regions and the city of Minsk, as well as the veterans of the department, handing them gratitude certificates and awarding them with medals.
