Shlychkov said introduction of science into production helps achieve high-quality results
Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology (SCST), Candidate of Military Sciences, Associate Professor Sergei Shlychkov told the ONT TV channel manufacture of which products has been mastered in Belarus
In particular, the Head of the SCST mentioned that one of the companies based in the China-Belarus Industrial Park is engaged in the development and production of gyroplanes – ultra-light manned aircraft.
“We must also not forget that national electric transport is very developed in Belarus,” he added. “As part of sci-tech programmes, we have manufactured two electric trucks: one produced by the Belkommunmash company, and the other by the Minsk Automobile Works (MAZ). They have different carrying capacity and purposes, but they exist. And these are the results of programme execution.”
Sergei Shlychkov also recalled that space technology, the medical field, biotechnology, agriculture and food security are developed at a high level in Belarus, “Based on the results we have, e.g., in agriculture, I can draw the following conclusions based on macro-indicators: the sown area in our country is not increasing, but the yield is growing significantly. Miracles don’t happen just like that. It is precisely without scientific support for this process that it is impossible to achieve demonstrative results. Therefore, speaking in general, without delving into details at the project level, scientific activity in Belarus brings very good results.”
