SCO stressed Belarus' serious involvement in improving the organisation's work
Belarus’ First Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Lukashevich met with Deputy Secretary General of the Shanghai Co-operation Organisation Nurlan Yermekbayev, sb.by reports with reference to the Foreign Ministry
According to the source, the parties focused on the issues of Belarus' participation in SCO, “Sergei Lukashevich confirmed the firm intention of the Belarusian side to be an active participant in the activities of the organisation, to promote the implementation of its initiatives.”
The Belarusian diplomat thanked Nurlan Yermekbayev for his participation in the 2nd Conference on Eurasian Security in Minsk, as well as for his willingness to lead the SCO Secretariat mission in monitoring the upcoming Presidential election in Belarus.
"The Deputy Secretary General, in turn, highly appreciated the activity of the Republic of Belarus in all areas of the organisation's work, and also noted the deep involvement of the republic in the process of improving the SCO functioning,” the Foreign Ministry stressed.
