Russian FM spokesperson: dialogue with West on Ukraine possible only if arms deliveries stop
A dialogue with the countries of the collective West on the settlement of the Ukrainian crisis can take place under the only condition: a complete stop in the supply of weapons to the Kiev regime – as noted by official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, TASS reports
“The only indicator for me of the seriousness of the West’s intentions: until the moment they stop supplying weapons and logistical assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), it is impossible to talk about anything other than escalation on their part,” the diplomat said in an interview with the Tsargrad TV channel.
According to her, even if someone starts talking about some ‘manifestations of normality’ on the part of the collective West, but at the same time supplies of Western weapons to Ukraine will continue, then it is simply impossible to believe such words about normality:
“I don’t see any evidence that it would be possible to discuss anything with any of them while they are delivering arms. They will cheat as always. Only the stop of arms supplies which includes everything, not only tanks, boxes with grenades and drones, but also the purchase of all this from third countries in favour of the AFU.”
As noted by the Russian Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson, only this would be a kind of ‘a tick, a sign, a symbol’ that the countries of the collective West ‘turned their attention from escalation to a political, diplomatic or other way to settle the situation’.
“As long as the supply of weapons is underway, there can be no settlement a priori,” Ms. Zakharova summed up.
