Russian FM: NATO undermines security in Europe
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Aleksandr Grushko said that NATO is creating military infrastructure in Poland and the Baltic States in order to achieve military superiority over Russia, and such actions undermine regional and pan-European security, RIA Novosti reports
As Mr. Grushko noted, NATO is now creating a military infrastructure that is designed to project force against the Russian Federation and achieve military superiority. According to him, the alliance is deploying long-range systems, adopting operational plans, and building up air defence capabilities in the Baltic States and Poland. In addition, the Deputy Foreign Minister noted the transfer of foreign armed forces to this region, as well as an increase in the number and scale of military exercises.
Mr. Grushko added that such actions undermine not only regional, but also pan-European security.
