Miller noted that the agreement signed by Moscow and Beijing on the construction of a gas pipeline from the Far East has entered into force.

“This is plus 10bn cubic metres of gas on top of the 38bn under the Sila Sibiri (Power of Siberia) contract. The deadline for the beginning of supplies via the Far Eastern route is 2027,” he said.

Miller added that after reaching supplies of 38bn cubic metres via the Sila Sibiri gas ppeline in 2025, China is looking at possible increasing gas imports through this pipeline.

“It is not ruled out that such an agreement could be reached soon and supplies via Sila Sibiri will be increased,” Gazprom CEO underlined.
