Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister: negotiations on Ukraine possible if the West and Kiev lay down the arms
Negotiations between Kiev and Moscow may take place, but Ukraine's Western allies and the Kiev authorities must lay down their arms and stop striking Russian territory for this – as stated by Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin, TASS reports
According to Mr. Galuzin, after the West and Ukraine fulfil these conditions, it will be possible to conduct a dialogue ‘on the basis of new geopolitical realities’. He also warned that arms supplies to Ukraine would lead to an escalation of the conflict, and not to its settlement.
"We would recommend our partners to refocus their efforts on targeted work with Kiev, as well as the United States and other NATO countries that continue to expand the range of arms supplies, which is inevitably leading to an escalation of the conflict," Mr. Galuzin added.
