Retired Major General of Serbia: the truth about WWII and all wars unleashed by US needs to be spread
Minsk hosted the 2nd International Anti-Fascist Congress last week, and its holding was truly relevant against the background of the destruction of the value system at all levels and the rewriting of history. Among those who made an address through a video message was the President of the Executive Board of Serbia’s Club of Generals and Admirals, retired Major General Luka Kastratovic. He noted that Europe does not celebrate Victory Day in World War II, it only has Memorial Day in order to downplay and hide the truths about fascism and Nazism.
“The forces – defeated in World War II – found a shelter in the United States, which trained them and later returned to Europe so that they would continue what the fascists of Germany failed to implement in 1939-1945 in the interests of America. They are included in the American programme of the West against the East with the aim of subjugating Russia and building international relations in accordance with the interests of the United States, as well as in the secret plan of the Vatican, Germany and the United States to reorganise the international community according to the federal principle, but without the Slavs. In 2014, the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution against the glorification of Nazism, and 115 (out of 193 UN member states) voted for it; three states were against – Canada, the United States and Ukraine. The EU member states abstained. No comments are needed here,” Mr. Kastratovic said.
As noted by the Serbian representative, there are double standards behind the American struggle for democracy, human rights and freedoms. The United States does not seek to co-operate in international relations, but pursues its own benefits and interests. The country proclaims certain ideas and promises, but has different thoughts. It also acts differently. Accordingly, among other things, the US made the USSR and Yugoslavia collapse, united Germany, and is now trying to destroy Russia and powerful states. With the collapse of the Soviet Union and Yugoslavia, new countries were formed. Some of them have joined NATO, some have revived the fascist regimes that were defeated in World War II. In 1999, after Serbia’s defiance, the United States started a war, planning to conquer the country in 3-5 days, but failed even in 78 days – although Serbia was alone at that time, and 19 of the strongest countries of the world participated in the aggression. The war ended with the adoption of UN Security Council Resolution No. 1244, according to which the autonomous province of Kosovo and Metohija was proclaimed part of Serbia.
“It is symbolic that the Anti-Fascist Congress was held in Belarus, which has been confirming its freedom since WWII – also doing this now, when the United States has started moving through Ukraine to Russia. The peoples of Belarus and Serbia perfectly understand and respect each other, especially appreciate the actions of the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, who visited Serbia during the NATO aggression. It was really hard, we were bombarded day and night by nineteen countries led by the United States. Books are being written about those days in our country now, since what is not written about, was not," Mr. Kastratovic stressed.
He added that, since NATO had not achieved any of its goals and it was necessary to capture Serbia in three days as a gift for the NATO anniversary summit, the aggression continued by other methods: they ignored UN Congress Resolution No. 1244, according to which Yugoslavia was a sovereign state, built a military base, allowed or planned a pogrom of the remaining Serbian population in Kosovo, destroyed churches and monasteries.
“The terror of Serbs has been constantly carried out on the territory of Kosovo and Metohija with the support of the United States since the NATO aggression in 1999. The same terror has been carried out by the Kiev regime since 2014 against Russians in Ukraine. Therefore, it is necessary to spread the truth about the Second World War and all the wars unleashed by the United States after WWII. It is only possible to resist the spread of fascism and Nazism by revealing the truth,” Mr. Kastratovic stated.
