Putin: BRICS growth dependence on external influence decreased
The further growth of BRICS will depend less on external influence, and this means true sovereignty – as stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, TASS reports
Speaking at the BRICS Business Forum, the Russian leader noted, “The countries that make up our association are actually the drivers of global economic growth, and it is within BRICS that the main increase in global GDP will be generated in the foreseeable future. Appropriate development platforms are being built in the association, and they include communication channels, technological and educational standards, financial systems, payment instruments and, naturally, mechanisms for sustainable long-term investment. Differently speaking, the economic growth of the BRICS members will depend less on external interference or influence in the future.”
Vladimir Putin added that ‘this is actually the economic sovereignty and partnership of self-sufficient economies, which multiplies their potential and opens up new opportunities’.
