"We are continuing contacts and consultations with you about our relations and co-operation, primarily in the economic sphere. Everything is stable and reliably developing here, thank God," the Russian leader said at the beginning of the meeting.

Vladimir Putin also informed that the budget process is coming to an end in Russia, “Everything is stable and reliable, which is good. I am talking about this, because (you and I know well) the state of the Russian economy, of course, affects our interaction within the Union State. We have mutual issues and obligations in this regard. It seems to me, there is a need to compare positions on some issues."

In addition, Vladimir Putin mentioned his recent meeting with the DPRK leader who had paid a visit to Russia. "I also want to inform you on how the discussion of the situation in the region developed, which is also important," he said.

The Russian leader also announced his intention to talk with his Belarusian counterpart ‘on our most pressing issue – the situation in the direction of Ukraine’ and around the Ukrainian crisis. "I am very glad to see you. Thank you for agreeing to come," he summed up.

In turn, Aleksandr Lukashenko mentioned the recent visit of the President of Equatorial Guinea to Belarus, “He is a very famous and forward-thinking person. There is also joint work in the African direction."

"It seemed we had resolved all the issues, but they keep accumulating. This is why it is necessary to consult in good time," the Belarusian leader commented on the relevance of his meeting with the President of Russia. "I am grateful that you have found time to consult and discuss future actions.”
