Scholz called on EU to unite after Trump win

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said the European Union has to unite in the wake of Donald Trump’s win in the US Presidential race, TASS reports

“The European Union must stand together and act as one. As the Chancellor of Germany, I’m working on that,” Scholz said at his meeting with journalists.

He added that he talked to French President Emmanuel Macron on the phone on Wednesday, November 6th.

“Tomorrow, I’m going to meet heads of other European states and governments in Budapest. We will coordinate our actions closely, both there and in the coming weeks,” said the Chancellor.
