President’s reserve fund to allocate Br680,000 to encourage gifted students
Head of State Aleksandr Lukashenko has signed a decree, approving the decision of the Special Fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for Social Support of Talented Students to allocate Br680,000 to encourage gifted youngsters, as well as those who trained them, sb.by reports citing the Belarusian leader’s press service
In line with this decision, 26 grand prizes have been awarded together with the Laureate of Belarus’ President Special Fund for Social Support of Talented Students badges. In addition, 217 special awards have been bestowed upon the winners of the republican Olympiads and competitions. For nurturing the talented youth prizes have been presented to 28 pedagogical workers.
In addition, 173 students and cadets of institutions of higher education have been awarded Presidential scholarships for excellent studies, success in research and creative activities.
The decree of the Head of State aims to identify and support the most motivated and gifted youth, to create favourable conditions for their successful study, scientific and creative activities, and to stimulate the professional growth of teachers.
