President ordered to assess A1 actions and take toughest measures
“A1 telecommunications and content provider operating in Belarus was in some way leaking the wrong content and in the wrong place. This violates any moral, ethical and legal norms and rules. In this regard, the President of Belarus ordered to assess the company’s actions,” the Deputy Head of the President Administration, Igor Lutsky, said.
As he noted, the toughest measures will be taken under the instruction of the Head of State. It is necessary to investigate what is happening in the company and prevent such misconduct in the future.
“Neither foreign nor Belarusian company will be allowed to act in this way on the territory of our country. A1 is an international company. Though they say they work in line with the rules, everything in the company has been brazenly derailed,” Mr. Lutsky stressed.
As it has become known recently, the A1 telecom operator – to be more correct, its press secretary Nikolai Bredelev, was leaking personal data of some subscribers to extremists. The press secretary was detained.
