Polyanskiy: Russia will seek international investigation into Nord Stream explosion
Moscow intends to seek an international investigation into the sabotage that took place last autumn at Nord Stream – as noted by First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations Dmitry Polyanskiy, RIA Novosti reports
According to Polyanskiy, Russia will seek an international investigation and punishment of those responsible for what happened.
“We consider it unacceptable that the perpetrators of this heinous crime have not yet been identified and brought to justice,” he added.
In September 2022, explosions occurred on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines. A number of countries admit that it was a targeted sabotage. The Nord Stream operator Nord Stream AG reported that the incidents were unprecedented, and it was impossible to estimate the repair timeframe.
