Polish businessmen demanding to open border crossings on border with Belarus
The Zjednoczony Wschód (United East) Polish Association of Entrepreneurs appealed to the country’s Sejm with a demand to open border crossings on the border with Belarus, BelTA reports citing the EADaily news agency and Polish media
It is reported that the association put forward a demand to create a roadmap for opening border crossings, while identifying the conditions and timing for the implementation of the proposal.
At the same time, it is seeking to extend the compensation programme for small and micro-businesses currently operating in the border area of Bialystok.
The Association of Polish Entrepreneurs is in favour of lifting the limit on the number of applications submitted for compensation. They also propose agreeing with the European Commission on a new financing programme so that those businessmen who have already exhausted their state aid limit can receive assistance.
