Pakistan expects to join BRICS soon

Pakistan sees Russia's support and expects to join the BRICS partner countries in the coming future – as stated by the Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan Sardar, Ayaz Sadiq, TASS reports

Commenting on the possibility of Pakistan to join the list of the states that became partner countries of the association in the year of Russia’s BRICS presidency, Ayaz Sadiq noted that Islamabad is striving for this and Moscow supports it on this path.

"True, Russia supports us into BRICS. Hopefully, we will soon join it [as a partner]. The Russian government really supports us in this endeavour," he stressed.
