Over 50% of Greenlanders support joining US, the poll shows

A poll conducted on January 6th-11th by the Patriot Polling, an American non-governmental organisation, shows that more than half of Greenland’s population are in favour of the island joining the US, TASS reports

Thus, the majority of respondents (57.3 percent) said they approve of the idea of joining the US, 37.4 percent were against it. 5.3 percent of those surveyed could not decide on the answer.

The compilers of the survey, which polled 416 Greenlanders, note that US President-elect Donald Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr., was visiting Greenland when it was conducted.
