Opinion: US waging war to maintain its dominance, taking advantage of gaps in international law

The United States of America is waging a war to maintain its dominance with the hands and lives of Ukrainians, the resources of the European Union and taking advantage of the gaps in international law – as noted by Doctor of Military Sciences, Prof. Nikolai Buzin in his talk with the sb.by portal

“According to the International Institute for Strategic Studies, total Western funding to Ukraine has been 2.7 times greater than the predicted $55.5bn Ukrainian budget, and military aid alone accounted for 94.9 percent of Russia’s defence spending last year ($51.1bn). At the same time, US Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin says that ‘Washington’s goal is not just to help Ukraine repel the invasion, but also to weaken Russia to such an extent that it can no longer pose a threat to anyone’,” he said. “Military actions in Ukraine have signs of a classic proxy war between Russia and NATO. And this is exactly what it is for Washington and its allies. The hostilities are carried out by the Ukrainian forces on the territory of the country against the Russian army, at the expense of the financial, economic, military, information resources of the US and the EU. In addition to the main goal – the destruction (weakening) of Russia – Washington is trying to solve a range of additional tasks: to maintain its political weight and improve the financial system, to weaken Europe and make it its own puppet, to restart the economy and capture the European energy market, to create a base for subsequent operations in East Asia and opposition to China.”

According to the expert, separate tasks have already been implemented. The Nord Streams were blown up, co-operation ties were broken, 74 percent of the produced American gas is supplied to Europe. A steady inflow of finance to the US military-industrial complex has been ensured. Germany and France are losing their leading positions in Europe, while Poland is becoming the main American ally in the region.
