Opinion: US hegemony is already over

The SCO member states are not pleased with the dictate on the part of the United States and the Anglo-Saxons – as noted by the Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly on International Affairs, Oleg Gaidukevich, in his talk with the ONT TV channel

According to the deputy, the US hegemony in the world has already ended. “The world has been following new rules for a long time, and people are already not satisfied with the old ones. 80 percent of the world's population did not support sanctions against Belarus and Russia. The countries that are members of the Shanghai Co-operation Organisation are not pleased with the dictate demonstrated by the United States and the Anglo-Saxons. Such a dictate envisages inability to engage in the development of their own country without imposing some dogmas, while the United States imposes the latter all over the world. One of the SCO principles – which the participating countries adhere to – is the recognition of the diversity of countries, their foundations and historical traditions,” he explained.

Mr. Gaidukevich added that the world economy has also undergone changes, “There is an energy crisis in the world right now. The struggle for resources will continue, and this is just the beginning.”
