Lukashenko to Polesie residents: if we work, there will be no war

If the government and people work properly and effectively, there will be no war in Belarus – as stated by President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko during today’s conversation with residents of Prudok agro-town in the Mozyr District

“I always say: if you don’t want to fight, let’s work,” the Head of State underlined.

“We’re ready!” Polesie residents responded.

“If we work and we don’t have questions for each other, believe me, there will be no war. It all depends on you, not on me. That’s why I often say: if you don’t want a war, let’s work hard on this piece of land so that there is something to pass on to our children. You can see that we are trying in every possible way to prevent this conflict from coming here. They [Ukrainian troops on the border with Belarus] raised the tension there – we deployed our army. I said that the Gomel Region residents need to be protected, they’ve had enough, they’ve suffered enough. They withdrew their troops, we did the same,” the President added.

People greeted these words with applause and words of gratitude for peace in the country.

“We don't want to fight,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said. “War is always bad. People will die on all sides. That’s why we don't need a war.”
