Opinion: UK, US pushing Europe to large-scale war

London and Washington want to unleash a large-scale war in Europe, and the EU countries are forced to follow in the wake of the NATO occupation forces, although they are still resisting – as stated by Aleksei Avdonin, an analyst at the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Studies, in his talk with the ONT TV channel

“Poland, Ukraine, the Baltic States, and actually all countries of the former Warsaw Pact Organisation chose the wrong side in the 1990s and began playing in the wrong team. They lost eventually. Now London and Washington are pushing these states to a large-scale war in Europe. Germany, France and Italy are groaning and resisting, since they do not want war, but they are forced to follow in the wake of the NATO occupation forces. Take Poland, for example. On August 11th (while Belarus was hosting the 2nd CIS Games), it launched regular military exercises on the basis of the 32nd tactical aviation base using Patriot complexes, the integrated air and missile defence battle command system," Mr. Avdonin noted.

The expert recalled that the exercises include the integration of all elements of multi-layered air and missile defence.

“Poland plans to provide the country with a medium-range air defence system based on the Patriot battery. Under the terms of the contract concluded back in 2018, two such complexes were deployed on the Polish territory. Later, the country announced plans to purchase six more batteries. Poland conducts such exercises because it is preparing to repel retaliatory attacks of aviation missiles in the event of a NATO attack on the Union State. Meanwhile, the redeployment of troops to our border and the holding of regular exercises are absolutely useless in this case,” Mr. Avdonin stressed.
