Opinion: Belarusian state media overpass opposition resources in quality

The quality of opposition resources is significantly inferior to the Belarusian state media – as stated by Aleksei Belyaev, the Dean of the Journalism Department at the Belarusian State University, in his talk with the ONT TV channel

As noted by Mr. Belyaev, numerous opinion polls held recently show a significant increase in the trust of Belarusians in the state media. “[There has been registered] growth of trust, interest, watchability, and engagement. In short, from the point of view of content, the state media now significantly overpass all opposition resources, which once positioned themselves as supposedly independent and allegedly stating the truth. We see that they are just yellow-press propaganda," the he stressed.

The expert added, “From the point of view of honest, fair, competitive struggle, which those in the West used to speak about, they are also losing outright.”
