On behalf of President, State Inspectorate on Wildlife Protection awarded a banner
A banner presentation imposes a special responsibility on the company which receives this award – as noted by the State Secretary of the Security Council, Aleksandr Volfovich, at a solemn ceremony on occasion of the 20th anniversary of the State Inspectorate on Wildlife Protection under the President of the Republic of Belarus
“The banner speaks for itself: it is a symbol of valour, honour, and glory. The banner presentation to any company imposes a special responsibility to protect the country and its national interests and to better and conscientiously fulfil the assigned tasks: protection of our flora and fauna,” Mr. Volfovich said.
According to the State Secretary of the Security Council, forests, lakes, rivers, and animals are Belarus’ national treasure. “The draft of our new National Security Concept indicates them as national interests in the environmental sphere. Accordingly, protection of these interests is a task assigned to our State Inspectorate on Wildlife Protection, and the latter conscientiously copes with them. The organisation has made a big step forward, and it now boasts the most modern material base – including technical means of protection, photo fixation, suppression of illegal actions. However, its most important asset is a tightly-welded team led by Yuri Tertel,” Mr. Volfovich stressed.
