NOC President congratulated national sambo team on successful performance at World Championships in Astana
President of Belarus’ National Olympic Committee (NOC) Viktor Lukashenko has congratulated the national sambo team on their successful performance at the World Championships in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, sb.by reports with a link to the NOC press service
“Your will to win, sportsmanship, daily perseverance, as well as the painstaking work of your coaches enabled you to win a scattering of awards, once again confirming the high level of the Belarusian school of this type of wrestling and showing a worthy example for young generations of athletes,” the congratulatory message reads.
The NOC Head expressed gratitude to Daniela Zhdan, Tatiana Matsko and Maryia Kandratsyeva, who rose to the top step of the medals podium of the world forum, and also wished the whole team strong health and bright victories in the future.
The National Olympic Committee reminded that the Belarusian team has three gold, one silver and three bronze medals at the World Sambo Championships.
