Myasnikovich on Belarusian President’s wisdom

In order to initiate certain amendments to the Constitution in a timely manner, it is necessary to rely on inner strength – as noted by Mikhail Myasnikovich, a political and states figure of Belarus, former Head of the President Administration, Prime Minister and Speaker of the Council of the Republic, in his talk with the Belarus 1 TV channel

Commenting on an opinion that constitutions should not be amended, Mr. Myasnikovich stressed that he is not a supporter of such approaches, “I believe that the processes that take place within the country and around it should be taken into account in the Basic Law. Therefore, the wisdom of our President is that – to initiate certain amendments in a timely manner – it is necessary to rely on our own strength. No one will create happiness for us.”
