MP: European Parliament’s resolution on Belarus is absurd and aggressive
An aggressive resolution on Belarus adopted by the European Parliament on September 13th, 2023 goes far beyond the generally accepted international communication – as noted by the Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee on International Affairs of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, Oleg Gaidukevich
“Through its unsuccessful attempts to denigrate the leadership of Belarus, the European Parliament does not want to notice that it itself is tainted by corruption scandals and the dissemination of false information. Endless claims against the Belarusian leadership once again testify to the desire of European politicians to shift responsibility for interference in the internal affairs of an independent state, miscalculations in the neighbourhood policy and imposition of ‘their’ democracy,” Mr. Gaidukevich said.
The parliamentarian emphasised, “By promoting absurd resolutions, the European Parliament does not want to admit that the Belarusian people have figured out the true intentions of European politicians. We urge the European Parliament to abandon rude and disrespectful rhetoric, stop using hybrid warfare methods against Belarus, and realise its responsibility for stability, security and prosperity on our continent.”
