Medvedev: striking European nuclear facilities may become a response to AFU’s attacking of Smolensk NPP

“If an attempt to attack the Smolensk (Desnogorsk) nuclear power plant with NATO missiles is confirmed, it is necessary to consider the scenario of a simultaneous Russian strike on the South Ukrainian NPP, the Rovno NPP and the Khmelnitsky NPP, as well as on nuclear facilities in Eastern Europe. There's nothing to be shy about,” Mr. Medvedev said.

Earlier, some Telegram channels claimed that the Ukrainian military tried to attack the Desnogorsk nuclear power plant in the Smolensk Region with missiles.

Smolensk NPP is a branch of the Rosenergoatom Concern, located 3km from Desnogorsk in the Smolensk Region on the right bank of the Desnogorsk reservoir. The distance from the station to Smolensk is about 150km.
